Georgia Fendley, Mulberry’s brand director for the past four years, is to depart the label in order to re-join the branding agency she founded in 2004, Construct.

In addition to founding Construct Fendley is also one of the founders of Point, a non-profit formed to champion the power of design, creativity and innovation in education, society and business.

Fendley said: "It's been the most amazing four years working with a wonderful team of people to develop a very special brand. Mulberry were certainly forward thinking and probably very brave to invite a 'Creative' brand specialist to work inside the business at such a senior level!

“The success we have achieved as a team demonstrates the value of creative thinking in a business context, I am delighted to be leaving the business in such a strong position and look forward to watching its continued success"

Godfrey Davis, Chairman says "Georgia has made a significant contribution to Mulberry in terms of defining and explaining our brand to our customers. With the international expansion gaining pace, the branding and marketing challenge within the group is changing and although we are sad to see her go, we can understand her desire to use her creative talents to nurture more emerging British brands. We wish her well for the future."
