Sky Movies announced as sponsor of Smooth Radio at the Movies film show

Sky Movies has been announced as the sponsor of Smooth Radio’s weekly film show, Smooth Radio at the Movies, in a deal set to begin tomorrow.

The three month sponsorship will include an online competition, a ‘Pick of the Week’ strand during the show, features looking at the different ranges of films available on Sky Movies, and will help promote the launch of the seasonal Sky Movies Oscars channel.

Real and Smooth solutions director John Walker said: “With the Oscars around the corner, this is a perfect partnership and provides an opportunity for Smooth’s listeners to interact on a subject they love via the online competition and ‘Pick of the Week feature.”

Bob Suppiah, director of promotions and partnership marketing for BSkyB, added: “We are looking forward to working with Smooth Radio. This sponsorship will allow us to showcase the range and quality of the films available to Sky Movies customers.”

The deal was handled by Louise Martin at Real and Smooth Solutions and Lauren Croly at Mediacom.
