DIY brand Ronseal has awarded a year-long contract to Brazen to handle a digital brief across its online and social media activity.

The brief, which follows a Facebook driven project that Brazen ran last year, is supplemental to the consumer PR contract that the Manchester agency already services, and will see it aim to increase content and engagement through online and social channels this year.

This will include the creation of a dedicated social media team, which will work alongside the PR team in order to build and deliver five online campaigns for Ronseal, this year.

Kate Sitch, marketing manager for Ronseal, commented: “Last year Brazen built a Facebook app, ‘I Did It With Ronseal’, that hit the mark exactly, created a community of avid DIY-ers and brought the brand to life. We’ve been so impressed with their creativity and flair in the digital arena that we’ve now awarded them a specific 12-month brief that spans strategy, build and engagement across the social spectrum. We’re really excited to see what the year will hold.”

Brazen began working alongside Ronseal in December 2011 when it won the consumer PR contract previously handled by Lucre.
