Pimp My Cause teams with CMW to launch 'The Year of Great Marketing Karma' with app

Social enterprise Pimp My Cause has teamed with CMW to launch 'the year of Great Marketing Karma' with an app that analyses the user's employment history via LinkedIn.

Pimp My Cause describes itself as an online match-making service between not-for-profit organisations that require marketing support, and marketers who want to make an impact.

Paul Skinner, founder at Pimp My Cause, said: "Marketing is one of the most exciting professions because it provides the tools to create meaningful change. Pimp My Cause gives marketers the chance to harness this ability to support charities and social enterprises in need of their talent. The Karma Audit is a wonderfully creative and engaging idea that we are sure will ignite the industry's imagination and act as an enabler in allowing marketers to take on really fulfilling and rewarding projects."

'The year of Great Marketing Karma' kicks off this month with the karma audit app, which scans the users' LinkedIn page and assigns them one of eight animals to symbolise their karmic well-being, from a fly (questionable karma), to an eagle (on a higher plane) with a whelk, frog, pig, rabbit, goat and a tiger in-between.

The app will go fully live on Monday.
