The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has appointed Surname & Surname to help make fish fashionable.

This follows the agency having curated QR-code sushi at Frieze Art Fair in 2012.

James Simpson, communications manager at the MSC, said: “The work Surname & Surname delivered for us at Frieze Art Fair enabled us to reach a whole new kind of consumer and prompted people to perceive the MSC in a completely fresh light. With their energy and creativity, Surname & Surname will now be able to help us take this to the next level in 2013.”

Lotte Jones, co-founder of Surname & Surname, added: “As the agency continues to go from strength to strength it’s a fantastic boost to be working with such a great cause. This is exactly the kind of work we love – delivering creative campaigns for clients while creating a genuine commercial impact around new products and moves.”

The appointment will see Surname & Surname look to lead lifestyle press and bloggers into promoting ocean sustainability.
