Tesco Mobile appoints Simon Groves as chief marketing officer

Tesco Mobile has today announced the appointment of Simon Groves as chief marketing officer, where he will be responsible for all customer facing marketing and brand activities, driving revenue, profit, service levels and growing Tesco Mobile’s customer base.

Groves joins from his role as head of brand, marketing and customer experience strategy at Telefonica UK (O2).

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team that has made Tesco Mobile the UK’s largest and fastest growing MVNO (mobile viral network operator). I look forward to working with Roger and the rest of the team to ensure that on its ten year anniversary, Tesco Mobile remains a highly competitive network delivering great experiences for all our customers.”

Roger Fogg, chief executive of Tesco Mobile and Tesco Telecoms, said: “We are delighted that Simon is joining the team. Simon brings to Tesco Mobile a proven track record of success in brand development and delivering great customer experiences.

In his new role, Groves will become a member of the senior executive team, and will report to Fogg.
