SapientNitro appoints Eric Chia as design director

SapientNitro has announced the appointment of Eric Chia as design director, joining from the role of head of digital design at Addictive Pixel at Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

Chia will work across all of SapientNitro’s clients, and has been briefed to take the design and digital vision of the agency ‘to the next level’.

He said: “It’s really exciting for me to bring my creative and digital experience to SapientNitro. My focus will not only be raising the bar for craft and execution but also to enhance the communication experience between brands and consumers - which is what Sapient Nitro is all about.”

In his new role, he will report to Malcolm Poynton, chief creative officer for Europe.

Poynton said: “Eric has a great design vision and experience across all media and many international clients, which makes him perfectly suited to join us here and help take our design offering beyond what the European market has seen before.”

Chia has previously worked for agencies including Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Stink Digital.
