Sony Entertainment Europe has joined forces with YouTube to launch a native YouTube PlayStation3 app.

The app is available now and is free-to-download from the ‘My Channels’ section of the PS3 menu. Designed for the big screen and the consoles controls the app features the ability to browse and search for videos while watching, content flagging and YouTube trending and popular video playlists.

Users can also pair their smartphone and/or table with the app to browse and search videos on phone/tablet whilst watching on PS3, control videos with their handset, and comment on their phone/tablet while watching.

The app is available in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France, Greece, South Africa, Russia, Poland, the Netherlands, Israel, Hungary, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Italy, and the UK.
