Omnicom posts fourth quarter results with increases in share price, worldwide and domestic revenue

Omnicom Group has revealed in its fourth quarter results that its net income per common share in Q4 2012 increased 17.7 per cent to $1.13 per share from $0.96 per share in Q4 2011.

Net income for Q4 2012 also increased 12.9 per cent to £307.1 million from $271.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. Worldwide revenue rose 2.4 per cent from $3,852.9 million in Q4 2011 to $3,944.5 million in Q4 2012. Domestic revenue for the fourth quarter of 2012 increased 5.1 per cent to £2,026.6 million compared with $1,928.7 million in Q4 2011. International revenue fell 0.3 per cent to $1,917.9 million from $1,924.2 million in Q4 2011.

Diluted net income per common share for the year ending 31 December 2012 increased 8.4 per cent to $3.61 per share in 2012 from $3.33 per share in 2011. Omnicom’s net income for the year ending 31 December 2012 increased to $998.3 million from $952.6 million, a rise of 4.8 per cent from the previous year.

Worldwide revenue rose 2.5 per cent from $13,872.5 million in 2011 to $14,219.4 million in 2012. Domestic revenue for the same period (year ending 31 December 2012) also increased 4.5 per cent to $7.363.7 million from $7.048.7 million in 2011. International revenue saw a 0.5 per cent increase from $6,823.8 million in 2011 to $6,855.7 million in 2012.
