Guinness World Records appoints Tug to manage online presence

Guinness World Records has announced that search marketing agency, Tug, has been appointed as its lead digital agency, tasked with boosting its profile and online presence.

Guinness World Records has said that Tug will be predominantly concerned with the optimisation of the Guinness World Records website. In addition, Tug will grow the brand’s natural visibility and traffic, and ensure content is accessible and visible to all Guinness World Records global audiences, via relevant search terms.

Katie Forde, director of digital media at Guinness World Records said of the appointment: “Our global website currently receives 12 million visits per year from record fans, but our aim now is to become the number one destination for anyone, anywhere in the world who wants to know about records.

“Tug has shown an intuitive understanding of our business and ambitions, we look forward to the positive results they will bring to the Guinness World Records brand.”

Faye Farman, client services director at Tug added: "We are very excited to be working with such a well-loved brand, with so many fantastic digital assets to help build their online presence."
