With the suitably amended strapline of "Foster's - good call since 1888", Foster's lager is set for a return to its roots in a new TV advert marking the beginning of the popular Australian beer brand's 125th anniversary celebrations.

The sixty-second advert - created by Adam & Eve with planning and buying through MediaVest - will show a town mayor declare the lager a 'little ripper!' as its founders, Ralph and William Foster, and townspeople look nervously on.

Brand director for Foster's at Heineken, Gayle Harrison, said: "Foster's Good Call advertising is universally loved by our consumers and levels of consumer engagement and brand reputation have soared during the campaign. Foster's 125th anniversary will provide an excellent year-round platform to focus celebrations around the outstanding quality and heritage of the product which makes beer drinkers proud to drink Foster's."

Foster's, owned by Heineken, will use its anniversary year as an opportunity to roll out a multi-million pound marketing campaign across TV, outdoor, digital and social media platforms, alongside new POS materials, packaging and glassware.

The advert will begin broadcasting on February 18.
