Friends Reunited has launched a Facebook campaign for its ‘Scents of a Decade’ range of perfumes.

The three limited edition fragrances were created by Friends Reunited ahead of Valentine’s Day with the aim of encapsulating the nation’s memories of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The scents were put together after thousands of its users uploaded their own memories of each decade to the Friends Reunited Facebook page. A perfumer then used them as inspiration to create Night Fever (70s), Vice (80s) and Take Spice (90s).

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Friends Reunited launched campaign on Facebook to give away bottles of the scents to its members who apply via its Facebook page.

Matt Bushby, head of Friends Reunited, commented on the campaign: “Friends Reunited now helps you remember all of your most cherished moments so we thought it would be really fun to see if we could evoke a sense of nostalgia amongst the British public by attempting to bottle the nation’s memories of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

“We took the ‘Scents of a Decade’ onto the streets and talked to people about their memories of those times. They all got a really positive reaction, so we’re now considering putting the fragrances into full production.”
