Anglian Water has released an interactive consultation tool, developed by digital agency Beef, to allow customers to plan their own spend when it comes to water services.

The ‘Discover, Discuss, Decide’ digital activity from Anglican Water has been expanded with the creation of My 2020 Water View, which offers customers the opportunity to influence the organisation’s investment and billing plans over the coming five years.

Having brought in Beef following a competitive pitch, the tool has been released to allow users to allocate their own budgets to key areas such as sewer maintenance, while allowing them to increase or decrease their spend and see the effects over time.

The budgets can be sent to Anglian Water to help the organization summarise the preferred budget use by their customers for future planning.

Diane Gregory, marketing and website manager at Anglian Water, explained; “Anglian Water has five-yearly reviews with Ofwat (the company’s regulator) to ensure our prices and services are fair and affordable. Being both the driest and fastest growing region in the UK raises lots of challenges when it comes to improving, maintaining and securing supplies.

“We want our customers’ voices to be heard loud and clear, to help us shape our long term plans. That is what is at the heart of the Discover, Discuss, Decide campaign.”

The consultation will run until 10 March.
