56% plan to use their smartphone during Super Bowl 2013

With this Sunday marking Super Bowl 2013, global mobile ad network Mojiva found that 46 per cent have used their smartphones to post status, picture or video updates to social networking sites in previous years – with this expected to rise this year.

It was discovered that 56 per cent of respondents plan to use their smartphone during this year’s game, with 21 per cent of these using it to update social networking sites, while 26 per cent plan to communicate with others about the game.

Mojiva found the top two activities which consumers would consider following advertising during the game are redeeming/downloading a coupon (22 per cent) and visit the website/app of an advertiser (21 per cent).

Brand Key named Doritos, Taco Bell and Coke amongst the advertising winners so far for this year’s Super Bowl.
