Visit Benidorm and Click Tap Media launch six-month online campaign promoting the holiday destination

Visit Benidorm Tourist Board has partnered with Click Tap Media to launch a six-month online advertising campaign promoting the holiday destination to families and the LGBT community.

Click Tap Media has worked closely with the tourism board on the ads, unveiling creatives with different messages to target each key market group.

The campaign is Visit Benidorm’s first online advertising campaign and aims to attract those researching holiday destinations online. The activity hopes to change the current image of the resort from a ‘Stag and Hen’ destination, promoting the proposition that Benidorm ‘has more than you think’.

Speaking of the holiday resort, Yolanda Pickett Fernández, Visit Benidorm Tourist Board manager, commented: “Many do not realise we have five star hotels, a very peaceful part of the resort, and a beautiful old town with top notch local gastronomy. There is really something for everyone.”

The campaign will run in two parts, one geared towards the family audience with promotions featuring on a range of websites focusing on family, parenting and travel content. The family focused part of the campaign sees banners promoting beaches, theme parks and sports activities.

The second arm of the campaign targets the LGBT market with ads on PinkNews.co.uk. The LGBT campaign will have the run of the site on Leaderboard, Skyscraper and MPU formats, with inclusion on the Daily Newsletter and an advertorial every month for six months.

Visit Benidorm hope by promoting the destination in an environment their audiences are comfortable with will see increased traffic to the Visit Benidorm site, allowing travellers to start planning their journey and see what the resort has to offer.
