Martin Clunes, who used to be the (human) face of Churchill, has hit back at the car insurance company for dropping him after he was banned from driving due to speeding offenses.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Clunes said: "I was very surprised by their reaction. It was neurotic and very heavy-handed.

"Quite rude, actually. They never said goodbye. They never said thanks. They washed their hands of me completely."

The actor, who also stars in shows such as Doc Martin, said he did not expect to be dropped following his ban.
