Charity Comic Relief has tasked Forster Communications with overseeing a strategic media and stakeholder engagement project for its Common Ground Initiative.

The agency will aim to raise awareness of the initiative amongst decision makers and the public of diaspora organisations.

Gemma Juma, international portfolio manager for Comic Relief, said: “The newspapers are often filled with stories about aid contributions to developing countries; whilst discussion around the important role of diaspora organisation’s investment is absent. We are commissioning this work to help tell the stories of the inspirational people involved in these projects, as well as opening up the discussion on the challenges impacting diaspora organisations.”

Forster, which won the contract following a four-way-pitch, has also worked with UNICEF, BOND and Save the Congo.
