Holland & Barrett has today confirmed to The Drum that RKCR / Y&R has been appointed to handle its ad account, following a

As reported by The Drum yesterday, RKCR /Y&R will succeed incumbent Big Communications who had held the account from 2009, although Big will continue to work on existing sponsorship projects, while Carat Manchester will remain as media buying agency.

Rupert Williams, Managing Director of RKCR / Y&R said, “We are thrilled and delighted to be given the opportunity to work with a trusted and loved brand like Holland & Barrett.”

RKCR/Y&R will begin by creating a new TV ad campaign to be aired early this year, supported by print, digital and in-store activity as part of a multichannel campaign which Holland & Barrett has said is valued at more than £9 million.

TV presenter Gethin Jones will continue as a Holland & Barrett ambassador but will not be fronting the forthcoming TV campaign due to other commitments.

Phil Geary, brand and retail marketing director for NBTY Europe, said: “We’re confident the campaign RKCR / Y&R developed will help take Holland & Barrett to the next level, both by bringing to life what makes the brand truly special and by telling customers about our previously untold stories and values.”
