Health food retail chain Holland and Barrett has appointed Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R as its creative agency.

Holland and Barrett started the pitch process for the £6 million account back in April 2012, and announced in October last year it was continuing with the pitching activity, the agency is thought to have been appointed around Christmas time.

Big Communications, who had held the retailer's account since 2009, confirmed to The Drum that the account had indeed moved to RKCR/Y&R.

The Drum has placed a call to Holland and Barrett to confirm the news and is awaiting a reply.

The health food chain has come under fire in the past for the number of retained agency reviews that it has held for its creative account.

Back in 2007 the account was reported to have been awarded to Propaganda, only to be withdrawn. Long-standing agency Guerilla was then reappointed, before another review with WRCS winning the account for a short time. Big Communications was then selected in 2009 and continued to work with the brand throughout the review last year.
