Care Quality Commission selects Ixis for hosting and support services
Health and care watchdog the Care Quality Commission has awarded the contract to provide managed hosting and support services to web specialists Ixis.
The contract comes as Ixis proceeds to the second stage of the government’s G-Cloud procurement framework, G-Cloud II, which aims to introduce cloud-based services into central government, local authorities and the wider public sector.
Specialising in Drupal open source content management, Ixis joined the G-Cloud II framework as an accredited supplier in three categories - platform as a service (Paas), software as a service (Saas) and specialist cloud services.
Programme director for business improvement and head of digital communications at Care Quality Commission, Henry Cook, commented: “The G Cloud framework is a valuable tool and we’re really pleased to have sourced and procured the web management services we require from it. This project is crucial as we expand our online presence and it will enable us to be much more responsive as we develop customer facing services.”
Speaking of the appointment, Ixis co-founder, Mike Carter, said: “Our recent contract with the Care Quality Commission will play a critical role in the delivery of digital services to the health and adult social care sector.
