Superdrug has revealed that it is set to drop Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page from its advertising, as the company looks to focus on promoting its customer service and convenience in a new series of ads.

Set to air from next month, the ads will begin what will be an increased TV advertising presence for the beauty brand.

Superdrug marketing director Matt Walburn told Retail Week: “The advert had been very successful for the brand but we want to do something different. We will be focusing a lot more on TV advertising this year because it gives a bigger bang for your buck.”

Superdrug has also announced that it is set to introduce a new web platform later this year.
