Green Saffron unveils complete branding platform designed by Blue Marlin

Spice specialist Green Saffron has worked with integrated brand design agency Blue Marlin to develop a complete branding platform for its range of dry spice blends and sauces.

Green Saffron, the passion project of entrepreneur Arun Kapil, was initially sold in farmers markets but is now poised to join the mainstream after debuting in Ireland at the end of last year.

Kapil commented: “I wanted to capture the attention of the consumer as well as their imagination.

"Green Saffron offers a whole new dimension of flavour, fun, and innovation to cooking. The design reflects these goals in a fantastically delightful and unique way.”

Blue Marlin was tasked with creating a brand identity, developing strategic and visual positioning, and design packaging which differentiated Green Saffron’s offering from competitors’ non-fresh products.

The use of rich colours on the brand packaging aims to make a bold statement and the eccentric character of the brand is shown through quirky collages combining classic Victorian illustrations with vibrant fresh ingredients.

Blue Marlin creative director Simon Pendry added: “Arun’s boundless energy and impeccable expertise ultimately inspired our graphical approach, ‘expect the unexpected.’

"The charming scenes represent the union of spices, which alchemise to create the distinctively fresh flavours of Green Saffron.”
