The Science Museum has unveiled a '12 days of Christmas' Facebook calendar app with Alienation Digital, consisting of 12 doors hiding a selection of different activities, multimedia and fun facts relating to science.
As part of the online offering of London Science Museum’s Christmas campaign, the calendar app allows users to test their knowledge on science related topics, as well as being able to share information with their Facebook friends.
This was the first project handled by Alienation for the museum since becoming part of the Science Museum Group’s digital roster.
Neil Barr, managing director of Alienation Digital, said: “This was a highly enjoyable project to be involved with and also allowed us to give the Science Museum Group an insight into our abilities as an agency.
“Such projects generate a high level of satisfaction as you know the end result is not only fun, but highly educational, grabbing the attention of children and encouraging them to take a trip to the Science Centre over Christmas.
“We look forward to a fruitful and productive long-term relationship with the Science Museum Group as we enter the New Year, hoping to work on yet more exciting and innovative projects.”
Each door in the calendar links back to the Science Museum’s Christmas program, which is full of shows, exhibitions and workshops to entertain visitors throughout the holiday season.
Pippa Henson, marketing executive at the Science Museum, said: “Working with Alienation has been a pleasure and I’m really pleased with the final result. I hope our visitors will enjoy engaging with the content we’ve produced and look forward to seeing the result.”
