Nissan has launched its new car, the Juke Nismo, in driving game Asphalt 7: Heat, in advance of it going on sale in the real world in early 2013.

The mobile driving game for iOS and Android devices, created by Gameloft, allows potential buyers to take the Juke Nismo (short for Nissan Motorsport) for a ‘test-drive’, as well as featuring a virtual version of the Juke-R and a Nissan Race Track.

Gareth Dunsmore, marketing communications general manager for Nissan in Europe, said: “As the first-ever Nismo branded road car for Europe, the Juke Nismo will deliver an exciting new driving experience for those seeking the spirit of Nismo’s engineering and design in an urban crossover. With many of the car’s features inspired by today’s digital and gaming technologies, we wanted to launch it to consumers in an all-new, innovative way that reflects its core values.

“Putting it into the world of Asphalt 7: Heat, the world’s best-selling mobile driving game, and allowing players to take it for a virtual spin, gives us that opportunity. Smartphones and tablets are increasingly dominating consumers’ time and attention, so this launch strategy lets us reach out directly to driving and racing fans across Europe in a way that perfectly suits today’s digital age.”

The ‘test-drive’ version of the Nismo promotes the power, handling and aerodynamics of the car, while revealing its design elements, including new exterior and interior features.
