Everton Football Club and Rippleffect launch Blue Crimbo festive campaign

Everton Football Club is hoping to make it a ‘Blue Christmas’ with a festive campaign that rewards fans for their support throughout the year.

Created by long-standing agency Rippleffect, Everton FC has built upon the success of their Stand Together season ticket campaign with their Christmas offering Blue Crimbo.

With Christmas being a notoriously red time of year, Rippleffect has created a virtual map of Liverpool that turns more and more blue every time someone carries out an activity and helps to make this year a Blue Christmas. Evertonians can Tweet using the hashtag #BlueCrimbo, upload photos of themselves turning the city blue, buy tickets to a December match or even buy Christmas presents for the blue in their life to do their bit.

To keep fans engaged throughout the festive season Everton FC has also launched an advent calendar, where behind each door there is something to download and that will help turn the city blue.

A competition is also running where Everton fans can fill up their online “stocking” with up to £200 worth of Everton Christmas gifts of their choice. Throughout December five lucky people will be selected to win the contents of their stocking as well as a half season ticket. Fans can also share their lists via Facebook and Twitter – so even if they don’t win friends and family know what they want.

Those who participate in Blue Crimbo in any way whatsoever will also be put into a prize draw, every day someone will be picked at random to win a prize such as Fifa13, Christmas gifts, and signed Everton shirts.
