Kim de Ruiter has been named as Cheil UK’s first head of mobile.

De Ruiter, formally founder and partner of Noise Inc, has been tasked with formulating Cheil UK’s mobile strategy to include mobile marketing, campaign development and innovation. She will report directly to Cheil UK’s head of innovation, Daniele Fiandaca.

Prior to Noise Inc, De Ruiter held the position of head of mobile and business development at Mercury Records.

Speaking of the appointment, Fiandaca said: “Mobile has a seat at the table in every link of the value chain from discovery, social, advertising, transacting and consuming (in terms of digital content). Cheil understands the importance of this and how it fits with our broader company strategy to be unavoidably integrated.

“Kim is a born ideas generator and naturally strategic thinker. She’s a welcome addition to Cheil as we continue bolster our integrated offer to clients.”

De Ruiter added: “Mobile is an extremely exciting and fast-paced industry, with technology revolutionising the possibilities for creative and commerce alike. I’m looking forward to working with an incredibly talented Cheil team to incorporate mobile into relevant client solutions.”
