Westfield has developed a marketing program which positions Westfield as the retail and leisure destination for Christmas across TV, print and outdoor media as well as events, PR and online channels.”

The campaign, entitled “We Are Christmas” runs for five weeks from late November and covers television, digital, out-of-home media, print media and in-centre graphics. The television execution, featuring music from Rod Stewart’s performance of ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’, will run across ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky Digital channels for three works, the advert will also feature online on YouTube and 4OD.

The TV creative positions Westfield as owning Christmas and highlights the centres' offerings including a 5D Santa’s Grotto, an indoor and outdoor ice rink, and midnight opening hours.

Managing partner at Yellowdoor, Peter Cross, added: “We needed to produce the stylish, fashionable content expected of the brand with the Westfield Christmas campaign, whilst still capturing the multitude of offers found at both centres throughout the season.

“It was important for the campaign to appeal to a broad audience with both the print and TVC which we achieved by dialling up and down the fashionability dependent on the offer.”
