It’s Thanksgiving, so here at The Drum we’re taking a few minutes to look at the best of the ads which celebrate America.

Chrysler: Halftime in America

Starring Clint Eastwood, this Super Bowl ad for Chrysler didn’t mention the name of the brand once. The Wieden + Kennedy ad was described as "Powerful and one of the best Super Bowl ads ever.”

Levi's: America (Go Forth)

As if the fact it was called ‘America’ wasn’t enough, this ad features a reading of Walt Whitman’s poem…America. This ad was, again, created by Wieden + Kennedy.

American Airlines: Putting Them First

American Airline celebrates its troops in this ad, created by TM Advertising, featuring a soldier being allowed to board first. As she moves to the front of the queue, an old man – suggested to be a veteran – gives her a salute.

Mustang: National Anthem

Super Bowl ad? Check! For a Mustang? Check!Featuring a car revving to the American national anthem? Check!

Budweiser: This Bud’s for you

Let’s step back in time a little, to 1989. This Budweiser ad seems incredibly cheesy now…but it says ‘yay America’ in a big way…
