Warburtons has announced the appointment of Weber Shandwick North to raise awareness of its Free From products.

The trade and consumer brief will see the agency handle the account for 12 months.

Chris Hook, director of Free From at Warburtons, said: “The team at Weber Shandwick really stood out throughout the pitch process, they clearly understand what our business is striving to achieve and demonstrated their strategic thinking and creativity.”

The appointment builds on Weber Shandwick North’s current relationship with the brand, handling regional PR for the baker’s core range.

Jo Leah, managing director of Weber Shandwick North, added: “Warburtons is the second largest grocery brand in the UK and we’re proud to call them a client. This particular brief allowed us to really flex our creative muscle and we look forward to delivering the campaign.

“We have had some good years since I first sold my business to Weber Shandwick 15 years ago, but this year the best just got better.

“By growing the team and the office in the way we have, we are not only ensuring we continue to deliver the excellent results for existing clients but we are laying the grounds for further growth in 2013.”
