Bauer Radio has announced the launch of its Mission Christmas campaign, with the aim of helping children who suffer from poverty and neglect.

Delivered by Bauer Radio’s 'Cash For Kids', the fundraiser is being supported by celebrities such as Sir Cliff Richard, Dame Helen Mirren and Ant & Dec.

Dame Helen Mirren said: "I am very happy this Christmas to support ‘Cash For Kids’. We need your support to reach as many deserving children as possible. Just a little can go a long way."

The Mission Christmas appeal will feature across a selection of Bauer Radio stations including Magic 105.4, Key 103 and Metro Radio.

Dee Ford, group managing director of radio at Bauer Media, said: “We are extremely proud of our ‘Cash For Kids’ charities who are on track to deliver £10.3 million this year and we hope to break our previous years’ fundraising record with Mission Christmas 2012. All of our 21 market leading radio stations in the UK are actively involved with their communities to inspire as many people as possible to donate to such a worthy cause.”
