Glasgow has today launched its Glasgow Loves Christmas campaign, with a TV ad set to air from tonight.

The national, multi-media campaign incorporates TV, radio, outdoor and digital, with creative by Maguires and PR handled by Stripe Communications.

Outdoor media for the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau campaign includes the M8 banner, the Glasgow Subway, Edinburgh Waverley station and carriage cards on Scotrail trains.

There will also be a promotion running on Smooth Radio, Real Radio and Radio Clyde throughout November and December.

Councillor Gordon Matheson, Leader of Glasgow City Council and Chair of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, said: “With stylish shopping, great places to eat and drink, and an outstanding programme of free, family festive entertainment, Glasgow is a spectacular place to be during this magical season. As the UK’s largest and most successful shopping location outside London’s West End, the city is the perfect place to enjoy Christmas shopping, with over 1,500 shops, from independent boutiques to high-end designers.

“This year’s Christmas offering is shaping up to be the most exciting yet with an array of attractions and events for everyone, spanning music, film, dancing, food and drink and free family entertainment against a sparkling festive backdrop. There really is no better place to enjoy this special time of year.”
