Age UK has launched a back-to-basics phone designed to make phone calls easy for those with bad eyesight or who are simply unfamiliar with technology.

‘My Phone’ is the size of a credit card and can hold only eight numbers. Rather dialling via a key-pad or flicking through an address book, the owner taps one of the eight buttons, customised with the name of a friend or family member, on the main screen. The eight numbers are also pre-programmed into the phone by the manufacturer.

The only other feature is the 'answer' button and an 'on/off' switch.

.

The phone comes in 11 different colours and arrives to the recipient fully-charged and has a battery life of around five days.

The phone is manufactured by CyCell and has been launched in partnership with the Age UK charity.
