Jamie Oliver’s Jamie Magazine has been brought to life in a fully HD interactive iPad edition by FutureFolio, the interactive tablet magazine creation software business from Future.

The recipe-packed food and lifestyle magazine features recipes created by Jamie himself, as well as input from world-renowned chefs and food writers. The iPad edition of Jamie Magazine allows readers to easily search for recipes as well as create personalised and emailable shopping lists direct from the recipes and meal planning and preparation pages. Users can also follow step-by-step instructions on their iPad as they’re cooking.

Speaking of the launch Jamie Oliver commented: “Launching an app of Jamie Magazine is a really exciting thing for me and something I've wanted to do for ages – it's brilliantly interactive, the photography looks incredible, and there are loads of extra things we've been able to include to accompany the content and really bring it to life…there'll be video content too, whether it's behind the scenes stuff from our latest shoot or some travel reportage to go with our city guide stories.”

Jamie Magazine managing editor Paul Dring, added: “We asked FutureFolio to come up with a fully interactive app, from concept to launch in just 12 weeks. As well as meeting the launch deadline, the FutureFolio team helped us every step of the way.

“It was of great benefit to be able to tap into their expertise and judgement on key decisions as they arose, in what is still a new and constantly changing media.”

The Jamie Magazine app is free-to-download and contains a sample edition of the magazine. The first paid for edition is released through Newsstand today – Friday 26 October – costing £3.99.
