Performance marketing network Rakuten LinkShare has announced the launch of its affiliate marketing network in Australia.
The company, which currently operates in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Japan, is launching its Australian presence to meet the requirements of both local online retailers and global advertisers looking to reach Australian customers.
According to the National Australia Bank Online Retail Sales Index, online retail spending in Australia is experiencing growth and reached $11.7 billion in the 12 months up to June 2012.
Rakuten LinkShare has a portfolio of local advertisers including Appliances Online and Dyson Australia. Global advertisers include ASOS, Farfetch and Hotwire.com.
