Radio Clyde maintains top slot in Glasgow and the west

The latest set of Rajar figures show that Radio Clyde has retained its crown as the most listened to station in Glasgow and the west, with a combined listenership of over 685,000.

Clyde 1 leads the field with 573,000 listeners per week, a whopping 202,000 more than its nearest rival and representing an audience share of 13.8%. The two most popular broadcasts in the Clyde 1 line-up, Bowie at Breakfast and Superscoreboard, racked up 344,000 and 211,000 listeners respectively.

Graham Bryce, managing director, Bauer Radio Scotland, said: ‘We’re delighted that Clyde 1 remains the dominant force in Glasgow and the West and that our audience is growing at both stations. We’ve made it our mission to ensure the best possible music, locally tailored content, news, sport and entertainment is available to our listeners and that all off our output is as relevant and connected to our communities as possible. Clyde 2 also recorded growing audiences, now reaching 230,000 listeners each week.
