First Bus launches first mobile application for iPhone and Android
First bus has launched a free-to-download app featuring timetables, bus routes, and ticketing information.
Described in the App Store as “the newest and simplest way to find your nearest bus departure times for all First Bus services across the UK,” the app was developed by Spider Online and moves on from the bus company’s mobile optimised site.
Available on iPhone and Android platforms, the app allows users to personalise timetables by filtering departure and arrival times, direction of travel, day of the week, and the time of day between two locations on any First Bus route. News and up-to-date notices affecting First Bus services are also available.
According to First Bus: “This is just the start. Our team is already working on the next version, with advanced functionality. This will include times for scheduled buses for every stop in Great Britain, including real-time departure boards for your stops where available and systems allow.”
