G2 has announced the appointment of Frank Wolfram as chief technology officer for its EMEA region, beginning in January 2013.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining G2 and an agency with such a forward-thinking approach. They really share my vision and excitement about technology as the enabler of modern communications. I am looking forward to help building the agency for the post-digital era.”

For the past 12 years Frank has been CTO at SYZYGY Group, a full-service digital agency; having previously worked as an independent software-consultant for more than five years.

Pietro Leone, CEO at G2 EMEA, said: “We have been looking for a technology leader who can help us drive two key areas of growth for G2. Firstly, we wanted an expert to help continue the development of our proprietary technology platforms, which enable meaningful conversations between our client’s brands and their consumers. Secondly, we needed someone who can provide business intelligence solutions that strengthen our EMEA offer: marketing communications with data and insights at the core. In Frank we found both these things. He is clearly one of the best talents in his field and we are looking forward to evolving our unique agency model with him on board.”
