BBH lands a big job for Dove but Ogilvy 'is not being fired' says Unilever
BBH has landed another biggie from Unilever. A project for Dove Men+Care, is to be handled by its London and New York offices.
Dove: BBH gets a bit of the action
Dove's main agency is Ogilvy but a Unilever spokeswoman in London said Ogilvy was not being fired.
"We are currently working with BBH on a project for Dove Men+Care," the spokeswoman confirmed to AdAge. The assignment BBH is working on is believed to include a TV campaign.
"We collaborate with many different agencies across the Dove portfolio depending on the task or media channel," said the spokeswoman.
" Ogilvy continues to be a highly valued partner on all aspects of the Dove brand."
BBH has worked for another Unilever personal-care brand, Axe, but not on Dove. BBH also works globally for Unilever products Omo and Surf and Vaseline.
Ogilvy handled the launch of Dove Men+Care with a Super Bowl commercial in 2010, described by AdAge as "attention-grabbing". In Europe, Ogilvy, Paris, has been handling the Dove Men+Care account.
The assignment is a bit of good news for BBH New York where there were layoffs just two weeks ago after account losses.
