Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has seen his role as executive chairman of Twitter ‘reduced’ following a barrage of complaints from colleagues that he is ‘difficult to work with’ and prone to dithering over product directions.
According to the New York Times the upshot of these complaints is that no-one will now have to directly report to Dorsey, although he will still be involved in strategic decision making.
Dorsey left Twitter in 2008 for two and a half years after failing to prevent recurring outages at the micro-blogging service, before being reemployed by Twitter CEO Dick Costolo in 2010.
