Ted Baker reveals 82% uplift in e-commerce site following mobile optimisation

Global lifestyle brand Ted Baker has revealed an uplift in its e-commerce business of 82.4 per cent in its half year results while reporting a pre-tax profit decline of 8.4 per cent to £7.8m.

For the first half report, until August 2012, the brand saw its e-commerce platform generate over three-quarter more sales, totally £6.2m, having released a mobile optimised transaction site in April. Further enhancements to the site were also made later in the year.

The company also claimed to have seen retail sales figures grow by 15.4 per cent to £93.7m, although its retail costs also grew.
