Twitter met art when London-based motion artist Adam Rowe announced the #Twittbrief event, which will display the work of 18 artists who created visuals from words tweeted to Rowe by his followers.

Rowe has been curating the 25 pieces of art which will be exhibited – from illustrations to photography to 3D print – since June this year, all of which will be available to buy with the proceeds going to charity.

Commenting on the project he said: “Design is my passion and I love to create different pieces in my spare time, but it can be tricky to conceive a piece of art from nothing. One day I decided to ask my Twitter followers for a word I could turn into a piece of design, and #Twittbrief was born.”

“Many of my followers are fellow designers who really liked the idea of creating an image via Twitter and I’ve had lots of different types of artists approach me to get involved. The quality of work has been, fantastic and I’m really excited to be showcasing it all in one place – hopefully it’ll be the first event of many.”

Here's a taster of some of the artwork which you will be able to see at #Twittbrief, which will take place at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes gallery in Shoreditch on October 18.
