The NotFound project, a collaborative between Missing Children Europe and Child Focus, has found a way to draw awareness to the number of missing children in Europe, by taking over 404 ‘page not found’ error pages.

The initiative asks participating website publishers to turn such pages into marketing, which reads ‘Page not found, neither is…’ and has the profile of one missing child.

The page then links back to the NotFound website, as well as having a number to call if anyone knows when the missing person is.

Created by Famous, dozens of Belgian publishers have already come on board with the scheme.

On World Alzheimer’s Day last Friday, Facebook users could ‘wipe’ their timelines for a day, to understand what it feels like to lose memories.
