A major refurbishment of George House in the centre of Glasgow has been unveiled, including a new brand identity, marketing materials and signage created by communications and design agency StudioLR.

Mark Wheeler, design director at StudioLR, commented: "George House has a prominent location in George Square in the city centre. With the building itself and its internal courtyard both being square, we were able to create a brand based on a foundation of simplicity. We implemented the brand effectively across a variety of media including the signage.”

StudioLR worked closely with leasing advisers DTZ, CBRE, developer Redevco UK and architects Reiach and Hall on the project.

StudioLR specialises in brand communications and environmental graphic design and boasts an impressive client list including The Mary Rose, The National Trust, SSE and John Lewis. The team has won over 40 design awards including the coveted Scottish Design Team of the Year and recently won a D&AD award for the new Mary Rose Museum brand identity.
