Good Housekeeping launches new travel website
Good Housekeeping, the women’s lifestyle magazine published by Hearst Magazines UK, has launched its new travel website.
The website has aimed to provide guided global holidays, tailored to its female audience, which can be bought online. Good Housekeeping has tried to make the site user friendly by allowing its target readers to search for their dream holiday by price, popularity or by GH Recommends, as well as browsing handpicked weekend breaks and the most popular offers, before securely booking on the Good Housekeeping Travel Shop.
The site has also been developed to include an interactive functionality which has enabled readers to upload their holiday reviews and personal holiday snaps.
It has launched with Good Housekeeping travel writer David Wickers’ expert guides to ‘Autumn Treats’ and ‘Six of the Best: Cruising Rivers’, as well as ‘My Favourite Places’ by Good Housekeeping editorial director Lindsay Nicholson.
In addition, the launch has been supported by cross promotional activity across Hearst Magazines UK’s print and digital properties as well as dedicated social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter.
Good Housekeeping editorial director Lindsay Nicholson commented on the launch: “I’m delighted to bring our readers a new, convenient and trusted way to book the holiday of their dreams. With expert editorial advice and recommendations from the Good Housekeeping team and the very latest offers from our experienced travel partners, we are providing our globetrotting readers a unique holiday experience that caters for all their needs.”
Publishing director, Lifestyle Group, Judith Secombe added: “It is an exciting time for Good Housekeeping with a number of product developments in the pipeline and launching goodhousekeepingtravel.co.uk is a natural step for us to grow as a truly multi-media brand, as well as continuing to offer our commercial partners competitive cross-platform solutions.”
