Intelligent online display specialist, Infectious Media, has announced it is open for business in France and Germany commencing the company’s plans for European expansion.

Sylvain Deffay has been appointed as country manager France, and Stefan Beckmann takes the role of country manager DACH, operating out of offices in Paris and Hamburg respectively. Both Deffay and Beckmann have been tasked with building the company’s client base, and creating local sales and customer management teams.

“Infectious Media was founded at the inception of the real-time movement in Europe, and since then we’ve sought to help our clients realise the promise of real-time bidding (RTB) and real-time advertising (RTA) to deliver their marketing and wider business goals,” said Martin Kelly, CEO and co-founder of Infectious Media.

“We already run campaigns in the France and Germany on behalf of UK based advertisers, this coupled with the increasing interest in RTA from publishers and advertisers in both markets, made it a natural step for us open local offices.

“Sylvain and Stefan have the inherent enthusiasm for real-time advertising all of us at Infectious Media share; we are delighted to count them amongst our team.”

Deffay joined Infectious Media in April from Microsoft Advertising and initially held a European Business Development role. Prior to working with Microsoft Advertising, Deffay also spent five years at telecommunication giants MCI and AT&T.

Beckmann previously worked with Spil Games where he opened the German office and was responsible for media sales. Beckmann started his digital career at Lycos, where he headed up media sales in Spain, Italy and the Netherlands and spent time at scoyo, Hamburg, again in sales and marketing. As country manager DACH, Beckmann is responsible for the expansion of Infectious Media in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
