Looking to build on the success of last year’s Crème Brûlée Lip Therapy, Vaseline tasked branding design firm Hornall Anderson UK with developing a limited edition ‘Pink Bubbly’ lip balm.
The Hornall Anderson design team were asked to create an elegant black and pink tin which would give readers the impression of French Champagne. Hornall Anderson carried this theme throughout the gift wrap, pre-order gift packs and advertisements for Facebook and print magazines including stylist, Grazia and ES Magazine.
In addition, the brand agency created an interactive store experience called “Post a Toast” for the products launch in the Oxford Street branch of Selfridges. A ‘bubble-wall’ was designed in order for the pop-up store to have an eye-catching focal point and a photo booth allowed consumers to take photos with the new product and ‘post their toasts’ on Facebook.
The products has been sold exclusively in Selfridges, but will be exported to broader markets including Boots, Superdrug and national supermarkets from 12 September.
