IPC Connect launches refreshed Woman’s Own magazine and standalone website

IPC Connect’s weekly magazine, Woman’s Own has announced a magazine refresh and the launch of a standalone website.

The updated Woman’s Own will launch tomorrow, 4 September, with a new layout featuring new-look fashion, food and beauty content as well as twice as many real-life stories.

TV presenter, Lorrain Kelly has joined Woman’s Own as a columnist and Rav Singh will be the new ‘X-Factor Insider’. It has also been revealed there will be more first-person celebrity interviews to give readers more original content.

The new website has offered more interactivity with Woman’s Own experts and daily money-saving offers alongside celebrity, fashion and beauty news, diets and recipes. In order to fully tap into the target 40-plus female audience, the website has been mobile optimised and has incorporated social media throughout.

To support the launch and encourage trial, for the first week on sale the magazine will be available at the reduced price of 60p (usual price 93p). An in-magazine token collect scheme has also been developed to reward customer loyalty, with readers buying copies in four consecutive weeks being entered into a prize draw to win an iPad3.
