Heineken owned Strongbow has announced that it will launch a TV ad on Friday to promote its new Pear flavour.
Set to run for 12 weeks, the ad was created by St Luke’s with media buying through MediaVest, and features an archer firing at a pear, with the tagline ‘Pear gets the Strongbow treatment’.
Neil Henderson, managing director at St Luke’s, said: “The Strongbow arrows are one of the most enduring ideas in advertising and this ad brings the full force of their explosive power to launch new Strongbow pear.”
The Pear addition to the brand was launched last month, with packaging designed by Bulletproof.
Sanjay Patel, brands director for cider at HEINEKEN, said: “The launch ad will drive awareness of Strongbow Pear and its powerful refreshment benefits among our target audience.”
