Andy Jeal and Dave Lucas, the duo behind Carat Manchester, have been voted the most powerful individuals within The Drum’s Power 100 2012.

The list, which names the most powerful UK agency marketers outside of London, sees the pair step up to the top spot with a 12 months that has included the £3m United Carpets & Beds account, the £1m integrated media planning account for AJ Bell and the £9m account for Hillary’s Blinds.

These accounts followed the acquisition of their agency MediaVest Manchester by Aegis, reported at the time to have been worth around £95m.

Second on the list was Bruce Hutton, group chief executive of Bray Leino, with Tarek Nseir, CEO of TH_NK claiming third.

The full list can be viewed at a specially created microsite on The Drum website.

Over 500 marketers were involved in the nomination and voting process to decide the list, which also included a public vote.
