Ben and Jerry’s has created a Facebook which offers users the chance to ‘spoon’ with those they have something in common with.

An algorithm scans for unexpected things people have in common, such as the same birthday, a relative with the same name, or being a fan of the same music.

When a match is found, users are able to download a coupon for Greek frozen yogurt and share it with their spooning partner by sending a Facebook message “Using a fancy algorithm, Ben & Jerry’s decided we’d make great spooning partners.”
